McFadden Lofts

The project is located in Newport Beach, CA on the Balboa Peninsula in an area known as “McFadden Square”. The project site is located on 22nd street with ocean views and access to the beach, boardwalk, and many other amenities within walking distance. The project site combines 3 separate properties that are currently under-developed in attempt to revitalize this portion of McFadden Square, which is based on public demand for affordable commercial space and luxury condominiums. McFadden Square is an active area of Newport Beach in terms of tourism, beach goers, restaurants, and nightlife, therefore making it a desirable place to live and work. Our mixed use design concept maximizes the allowable residential density in combination with the smaller commercial below. Architecturally, we were tasked with designing a modern mixed-use project that addressed the transitioning scale of the street frontage.
