Monkey Falls
Colorado Springs, CO
A modern and remote residence takes off-grid living to new levels.
Specifications
Location
Colorado
Size
Appx. 5,500 sq ft

The Goal: To maximize views through the home’s careful orientation, connecting the family to nature while embracing modern design.
The Details: Once complete, this sustainably minded residence will be off the grid, solar-powered and self-sufficient, influenced by the owner’s interest in Passive House design. The upper level cantilevers almost over the hilltop, as intention and function find balance to create spaces for living, gathering and reflection in this remote area of Colorado.
The Materials: Composite paneling and expansive glass walls will frame the landscape, while open door systems dissolve boundaries between interior and exterior, allowing light, air and horizon to define each space.
